To be specific, a LGA2011v3, and won't work in older LGA2011 boards like the Rampage IV extreme / black edition.
To put it another way to the OP
Any board you are considering, check out the CPU support list for, and if support for your CPU was added in a recent bios update and not supported from stock, save yourself the headache and email the company youre buying from and request that they update the bios prior to shipping.
if your cpu isnt specifically listed, find something else.
