| UltimateGamer1982 said: Why are Microsoft making so many new bundles for this week? They already have a lot with gears, halo 5, Madden, fifa, Forza, halo mcc. Regardless, this bundle seems the most random, out of place bundle to announce. What was Microsoft thinking by announcing this? Why not a bundle for evolve or the witcher 3? Microsoft has two more bundles left, hopefully one of them is worthwhile. Bundle #2 is probably the best so far, value wise, but even then, those are old games. These recent bundles sound more like Microsoft getting desperate as they don't have many third-party exclusive partnerships to fight Sony with, as they have COD, star wars, MGS, Destiny, while Microsoft is basically going all in with halo 5 and I don't think that's going to be enough. I also don't think Microsoft will do another price drop this year since all these bundles have different prices, they probably think they'll sell a lot with the various skus and games on offer. |
While this bundle is definitely trash, I think it's a bit of an exaggeration to claim that they're going "all in" with Halo 5.
They've already announced the Tomb Raider bundle which is good, the Gears+Rare+Ori is great as a value bundle and I anticipate one of the following bundles to be Fallout 4.
Considering only holiday bundles here, Tomb Raider/Halo/Fallout wouldn't be a bad combination at all. I'll have to see what the next two bundles are to properly critique them though. If they're as bad as this Lego one, then...yikes. If it's more along the lines of big new releases, then I'd say they've done a pretty good job.
