Yeah except people are mostly just wanting to game on their TV using a controller. The time is now past that it's necessary to have a console as the conduit for the couch+TV gaming experience. Sony is even delivering that with PSNow and PSTV. The traditional games console is certainly doomed, either this or the next generation will be the last generation we will see a traditional gaming console. Streaming / gaming as a service is the future...eventually.
