GOD NO!

It has a "Intel Core i5-5200U" which is like a dual core tiny 15w (not sure how much TPD they have) CPU for ultra books.

Its MUCH much weaker than the CPU the others have a i7 4720HQ (these are like 45w cpus, that spank those tiny 15w ones arse in performance).

Its 940M is also a big step down from a 950M.

While I am aware of some of these problems, he doesn't want to fork out too much money, so i'm trying to find something cost-efficient while still being good enough.

That being said, there is still room in the buget and better laptops out there, its best to just resaerch what is required for the games she plays and then decide what laptop to buy from there.

I think a gaming laptop that he would want to last a long time should have an i7. An i7 can consistently run at 100 degrees C without too much issue.

At least that is my preference since my gaming laptop has lasted 4 years of hadcore gaming without issue.
