Ik but I thought that in one of the discovery missions they found liquid whater in the underground :v

They had images that suggested 'some' liquid was flowing on Mars, but they couldn't say for certain that's what it was.  With MRO paying attention from orbit for long periods, using spectral analysis to validate what was exactly flowing, they can now say for certain.
