Although Business Process Outsourcing of customer service and tech support to India is hot topic in the west, in actuality the industry contributes to only 1% of India's GDP, so in macro terms the industry is quite small. What India wants is manufacturing, engineering, software R&D jobs to shift here.

"Make in India"  campaign. What an effing irony!

Its the new government's policy, go beg foreign companies and the private sector to do its job. 

And they've some innovative and creative PR firm which recommends the same kind of name for each govt scheme - make in india, skill india, digital india, clean India...
