It'll get ditched way faster than the PS2, since it'll have higher dev costs and a smaller userbase on the way down towards the end of this generation
Yes after all these developers spent millions to create game engines, development tools, artwork etc. and are ready to cash in on their initial investment, they will drop it faster. Sounds like a great idea. Besides I seriously doubt the smaller userbase.
