There's a big distinction here ... Nintendo is not making their own theme parks. They are licensing their characters to Universal for theme park attractions. No different from properties like The Simpsons, Transformers, and a dozen other IPs. They are not making their own movies either, they are going to license those characters for a film studio to then make said movie. 

Yes they are, but again Nintendo entering movie/cartoon market (we already have Miymaotos Pikmin Short Movies), and they entering theme parks market also. Also they are not just licensing their IPs, they will be involed in devolepment of movies/cartoons and theme parks.
