For the PS3 this would IMO be good news, more games developers will to take into account Blu-Ray benefits like sustained predictable reading speeds throughout discs. This would result in much better and optimised off disc streaming games. A default harddrive for at least Blu-Ray equipped 360s (storage is required for the latest specs) would also be very beneficial. More demanding games could always assume a harddrive being present. |
It is better for developers to make games on two platforms with Blu-Ray capabilities than solely make Blu-Ray games on the PS3 alone.
