They go on an adventure to take down a plot against the crown built at the highest circle close to the throne and his town arch enemy is probably with them... Oh I forgot the army general that is in the plot.. And the white knight under his order that will join force with the hero character mid game...

pretty much summed every jrpg we've had in a long while good or bad...

I can think of plenty of JRPGs that defy that. Xenoblade, Persona, Fire Emblem, Shin Megami Tensei, Genei Ibun Roku #FE, Disgaea and Ni No Kuni are but a few.

I think you aren't looking hard enough.
