Nintendo has the chance to make sure the chip inside their next console is 14-16nm with FinFETs technology (3D transistors that cut power usage by 50% or so). Compaired to the 28nm chips both the Xbox One & PS4 use.

Nintendo also has the option to use Hybrid Memory Cube techonogly (many times more bandwidth than GDDR5, and lower power consumption).

Nintendo just need to make sure they design the chip right.
Small and cheap, 16nm FinFETs with HMC tech, that ends up slightly faster than a PS4.

Prey they dont spend 100$ on the f***ing gamepad.

(this is the main opstical, how cheap are they willing / able to make their gamepad, the cheaper the better).

(its not viable to use 100$ on a controller when the competiton is useing like 15$, and release a console that performs the same at the same price)
