Was the original Xbox the best Microsoft console?

Unfortunately. I sold my original Xbox once the Xbox 360 got released, it seemed superfluous to hold onto with the Xbox 360's backwards compatibility via emulation... Plus scaler for better image quality.
Not to mention I preferred the Xbox 360's controller anyhow.

However... That machine was built like a brick shithouse and the break-away cable was a godsend and managed to pave the way for Achievements, DLC, Online console gaming.

I also enjoyed it for it's media capabilities back then, which was impressive for a console, had my entire music collection ripped onto which I happily used instead of Grand Theft Auto's default music.
