This is an old debate but one that was definitely lopsided in favour of PS4/Xbone.
32gbs is far less than 500gb BUT relative to the size of games and install data on all three consoles it works out that the Wii U would last longer. Of course not so much now with all the DLC and digital content on Wii U.
