Omg Demi-Fiend, you'll love The Last Hope! It was my first (and so far only) Star Ocean game. The only thing that bugged me was how the character's voices are barely hear able when they "celebrate" a victory, the music overpowers them. And I'm very picky when it comes to sound in JRPGS, I usually end up loving at least two tracks per game, and if there's voice acting I try to listen to every line, since it enhances the experience for me. Aside from that, awesome awesome game. Just ignore Lymle's voice actress, she's awful.
