Well for starters it is common knowledge that the boomerang was scrapped after the 360's release. And guess what no Home button.

 

Um....it had the same Home button the Sixaxis and DS3 have. 

As others have pointed out, the Home button has been on Sony consoles as long as the XMB has (starting with the psx).
