The problem is, it's all pre-rendered 320x240 backgrounds. So there's really not a lot they can do to boost resolution. All you'd have are ludicrously high resolution characters on incredibly pixellated backgrounds.
RIP Dad 25/11/51 - 13/12/13. You will be missed but never forgotten.
