Earned the Platinum trophy myself the other day at 150 hours. MGSV is a disappointing title in my opinion due to its radical design shift from other entries in the series. The open world makes no damn sense, side ops are repetitive, there's a lack of story, basically no bosses, an unfinished ending, and the important missions are few and far inbetween.
Now don't get me wrong, it's still fun to play, which at the end of the day is a good thing. I would rather have MGSV than nothing at all. However, the critical praise MGSV has right now is bullshit for a game that is clearly unfinished and has so many design flaws. Sadly, in my opinion it's by far the weakest MGS title in the main series which kind of blows considering it's probably the last true entry. It certainly left me with a Phantom Pain.
The thing that irritates me the most is how Kojima and the Konami marketing team billed this as the story that showed BB becoming the demon he is in MG1+2 to make the series come full circle. We simply don't get that. It closes some loops and retcons some over arching ideals for the series, but this is just another save the world story that keeps BB in the gray area.
