It amazes me the mental gymnastics some Xbox fans go through to claim Xbox never gets a price cut. They did it last gen with the "just replacing SKUs" argument, and they're doing it this gen with the "unbundling of Kinect" excuse. The XBO has had a $150 price cut since launch, just get over it. Just like if the more desired SKU gets a price cut, while the most bare bones SKU remains $199, that's still a price cut.

wrong.

this is getting old.

does Xboxone with Kinect = Xboxone without kinect?

Nope.

with kinect = $449.00

without kinect = $349.00

original xboxone with kinect at launch price = $499.00

see the difference?

just $50 less than at launch for the sku with kinect.

one new sku at a new pric point.

just one price cut.

the difference then and now is that they introduced another SKU, the one without a kinect and priced it at $399.00. A new price point and a new SKU with new configuration (no kinect) while still retaining the original one with the kinect included.

It is wrong to say that it has gotten a $150.00 price cut.
