Now today, if you want an Xbox one, you only have to spend $349.
So from 2013 to 2015, it IS $150 less than since it originally launched. There's no getting around that.
PS4 was $399 when it launched. And it's still $399. No price cut or "unbundling". Still $399.
That's what ppl see. And I'm sure to most ppl, they also see a price cut. Calling it something else doesn't change the fact it's still $150 cheaper than it was when it first launched. |
If you wanted an "Xboxone with Kinect" at launch, it would have cost you $499.00
Now, if you want an "Xboxone with Kinect", then it will cost you $449.00
If you want an "Xboxone without kinect", you can get one for $349.00
Big difference there.
You're comparing one SKU that has more accessories (the Kinect), to another SKU which has less acessories (no kinect).
Its like comparing apples and oranges.
Or, a better comparison would be a 16oz drink vs a 12oz drink. their the same drink, but the 16oz cup has more in it, hence the higher price.
Now i'm not arguing that you can't get an xone for a helllotcheaper now than at launch, but it is wrong to say that there was a $150.00 price cut as that is not the case.
