Its not that difficult to be honest if you memorize every enemy position and their attack pattern, in fact, in the first level, there is thief ring which help you kill the enemies one by one and if a horde start following you, just run backwards and they will stop following you. I dont remember a ring like this in any other soul's game. The lore of the game is as good as any other soul's game.
