It was indeed. Onimusha 2 is possibly my favorite though, it felt like bigger and even more polished game than the first Onimusha. It didn't have Samanosuke though.
I have a sweet spot for pre-rendered background games... a lost art and forgotten approach to gaming, what a shame.
