I read an article on Forbes asking the question if the series itself is too big to fail. In the end, they concluded that the series is too big to fail and may even win the holiday war. I do agree that the series has gone stale somewhat and that Black Ops III doesn't do anything radically new (Dota 2 and League of Legends concepts in their form of "Champions" apply in mutiplayer) but I do believe it is going to be a better Call of Duty that many of the fanbase may or may have not seen since Black Ops II; some even argue Modern Warfare.

I'll admit that BO2 seemed to have more legs in terms of interest by the fans, but you know that they do claim this about every call of duty (every year).

While I do agree Rubber-San, I do believe this Call of Duty will be better than most people think. 3 years to develop a game can help; yearly franchises included.
