That definitely was the goal.  Doesn't seem like many listend, though. 

I'm guessing Sony is going to announce a $50 price cut at the beginning of Oct, or at Paris Week.  Of course, if someone preordered one of the bundles, I'm sure they'll knock off $50 from the price before it ships.

I am expecting  $100 price cut. Just a $50 price cut would put Xbox One at $300. For some reason consumers see a $50 difference from X00 to X50 (400 to 450)  more valuabe than a $50 difference from Y50 to (Y+1)00 (350 to 400). I have absolutely no idea why the human mind works like that, but I remember reading something like that.
