Apologies for the late reply, but yes, I agree entirely that this 'make what I want or don't make it at all' attitude is a problem and I don't think it's limited solely to Americans but to western gamers in general. Everyone expects everything to be catered to them, people nowadays seem to be more egotistical than ever.
It's not like anyone would be forced to buy GoW4, if the game releases to critical acclaim but the sales are very low then maybe it would be in Sony's best interest to put the series to rest. However, to preemptively dismiss a game before it's even been officially announced is bizarre, what if it's another critically acclaimed masterpiece which shifts 6/7 million copies like GoW3 did? Why would anyone want to kill that possibility... :/
