I agree. I mean, I have no problem with Mario Kart being someone's most favorite game in the whole world but when you talk about a racing game to me, it's about winning (or losing) based on my own abilities. It's about throwing myself against challenges and improving my skills, not about getting lucky right before the finish line. Comparing these two types of games doesn't make a lot of sense to me.
This list also seems to minimize the absolute bombshell that was Gran Turismo on the PS1 and Gran Turismo 3: A-Spec on the PS2. These were game-changers that made a huge impact on the industry.
