On items that are 100$ or less I will pay up to a 20% premium to buy an alternative that is more ecologically friendly (sustainably sources, biodegradable, made from recycled goods, recyclable). On items that are more than 100%, generally a 10% premium.
Luckily, the cost of most ecologically friendly products are negligibly higher, at least in my experience. So often times, there is no reason not to go that route.
