The correct term is indeed "tetrads", although most people refers to them as blocks or pieces. I know I do.
The individual tetrads are usually refered to by the letters they resemble: T, J, L, Z, S, I, and... the square tetrad, which doesn't look like a letter (maybe an O, but I've never seen it called that).
Off Topic: When does that WiiWare Tetris game arrive? I'm looking forward to that...
