So this looks great, but it sure makes the localization difficult. And it raises all sorts of questions too; where are Apollo and Athena going to fit in, for example? Are they throwing away the whole "Dark Age of the Law" before it's finished?

Definitely looks exciting but I don't see why they need to reinvent the wheel. Sure, do it for the spinoffs but that shouldn't be the point of the main series. What did AA3 add? Not an awful lot aside from a unified (mostly) story and great characters and that's all it needs to be the best.

Actually, it makes the localization a piece of cake. While I don't have any proof of this, I suspect that the way it was set up was specifically to make localization easier. The Japanese version of the game has Phoenix traveling to another Asian country, and I suspect the Western version will simply have him traveling as well. All they need to do is say "He's in another country, everything's weird yo" as opposed to pretending that all of the usual Japanese stuff is totally normal for Los Angeles.
