If, for example, MS would set up a used games marketplace, where a percentage of every sale goes to the publisher, I believe it could maintain revenue from a game long after it has stopped selling in the regular market. There are obviously risks with it aswell but I think publishers could reap some great rewards. |
...Or they could not do any of that, which they won't, and 100% of every sale goes to the publisher, because MS isn't a charity. There's literally no scenario where that would be better for publishers than just not doing that at all.
