I like this thread.
I dont know man...5 years from now, if every game looks like The Witcher 3 im fine. But the same could be said about last gen graphics when Last of Us came out. People would have been fine with those graphics for a couple of years more.
At the end of the day, im glad that the 5 years gens ended and now we have console that last much more. Playstation is known to be very supportive with its systems, and you know that if you buy a Playstation console, you will have 8 to 10 years of games.
But i understand the situation of (for example) Nintendo with the Wii U, the system is just not doing well comercially and they have to do something about it. They know that the games wont make the console suscesful, so they have to release a new one ASAP.
Its not easy to answer your question OP, but im eager to see VG Charterz opinions.
