They're in a hidden room in one of the deeper level chalice dungeons, you may have to beat the game once before you can even access it but I'm not positive on that. They scale primarily with strength so you're fine, the one thing you have to keep in mind with them is that they increase the beasthood stat a tiny bit with every attack, which is a double edged sword because while it increases the damage you deal it also increases the damage you receive by an equal amount.
