we are 500m europeans, we could help those poor people. the main problem is that we cant sent them away in countrys like poland or spain, that would just be inhumane.

and we germans arent anti russian at all, the man you quoted had real big problems in his own party because of the sanctions.

I dunno, argument that we're many and therefore capable to help is rather futile to me. We're 145m and since 2014 accepted over 750k refugees according to the UN, but a) these people were predominantly culturally compatible with the coutry they're fleeing to, hence no "alien" problem, no language barier etc.; b) situation in Ukraine has not ran out of hope yet and might stabilize in the future, while Near East will surely deteriorate further, and smth that looks like exponential trend is indeed a scary trend; c) last but not least, refugees from Ukraine don't have problems finding jobs over here, while EU refugees totally and inevitably are a big minus in the balance sheets and therefore an extra burden to the social system which has seen better days.

So I do consider this's a big deal, which requires fundamental changes in the foreign policy.

we need alot of cheap workers in germany, there are way to less people who do the dirty jobs, and you dont have to speak german or french to clean toilets or serve at mcdonalds. and i personaly prefer kurdish "muslims" who worship ocalan over polish catholics who worship a bunch of child abuser in rome if it comes to guest workers.
