PC Industry Still Growing and Faster Than Consoles

About The Witcher 3 and other AAA titles: yes, but without PC The Witcher series wouldn't exist at all. AAA titles, unless heavily moneyhatted, nowadays need every major platform audience available to maximise profits, and while maybe two platforms could be enough to break even and make some profit too, why give up additional profits? And so, if a dev relies on publishers and investors, they'll surely explicitly ask for every version that will likely generate profits. Even more so considering that even the best titles have some probability to partially flop anyway, so maximising potential profit can also avoid that a sales numbers flop become a financial one too.

From my perspective. 

There isn't anything wrong with PC gaming in the slightest, but this thread isn't about legitimacy. 

Well some bragging when things go well and better than expected is fine, as long as people avoid being pesky with or even insulting others.
About the real strength of PC gaming, maybe it's still true that old estimate that said that amongst the over 1B PC users, around 30% are PC gamers too to some level, from totally casual to hardcore, and arounf 1/3 of them, around 10% of users, are more dedicated gamers. It would be quite coherent with games sales, also taking into account different tastes of PC gaming audience.
