binary solo said: Why would PS4 win October? October is Halo month. It doesn't matter that Halo is coming on 20 October, Halo only needs a few days to give Xb one the win. All those pre-orders for the Halo bundle will come home to roost in October and Xb one sales will be huge. |
Well, I'm certain the XB1 will win October with Halo but by how many? I know the Nathan Drake bundle isn't doing particularly well at the moment but Sony are currently promoting MGSV and Destiny. I think when those two deals have had time to garner enough sales, Sony will start promoting the Nathan Drake collection heavily. October is also a very good month for Sony in terms of broadening the demograohic (specifically RPG fans). They have Dragon's Quest Heroes (bundled), Disgaea 5: Alliance of Vengeance and Tales of Zestiria, none of which I would consider system sellers alone but combined, a good reason to pick a PS4 up if you're into RPGs. Then you have the Assassin's Creed: Syndicate exclusive marketing deal. Again, not a huge factor. I think all of that combined might reduce the gap quite a bit. You also have to factor in momentum from this month too, as well as how late in the month Halo releases.
October is also packed with possible gems: http://www.playstationlifestyle.net/october-2015-ps4-ps3-ps-vita-new-release-video-games/
Once Upon a Light looks interesting. And MGSV online could well spark a slight increase in the MGSV bundle (if Sony decide to release it again next month.)
The PS5 Exists.
