The "stupid bubble" on Sony's Move controller lets it track depth of the controller, something the Wiimote can't do (not even with WM+). For example in Zelda if you thrust your Wiimote away from you like a sword and then pull it back towards your chest, the Wii doesn't recoginize any of that, the Move can. It's actually the best motion controller. 

Still looks stupid.  Looks like an anal bead dildo.  Plus it never really took off that much (sold over 15 million but that isn't much considering PS3 userbase).  If they found a way to inclose it into the controller like Nintendo did with the motion plus accessory then I wouldn't rag on it.
