1. to introduce something new; make changes in anything established.

I'm not sure many of you really grasp the definition of innovation.

Simply put, Sony have definetly innovated this generation. Blu-ray is a completely new format and is substantially different to DVD. As such, it's regarded as an innovation.

The Cell Processor can also be considered an innovation.

Great, based on this information Xbox 360 is the true innovator. Their changes to their online service made it a new better experience that PS3 and Wii are trying to imitate

They introduced bigger hard drive to the 360 vs Xbox (hey that's a change)

They upscale the graphics way before the other consoles (another change)

Now sarcastic aside Dannor I think we all here consider TRUE innovation to create something new that not other system has tried in the gaming industry. Media storage is not true gaming innovation cuz well, duh, we were expecting them to bring a bigger storage unit. The cell we don't consider TRUE gaming innovation because well, duh again, we knew better graphics were coming. So there you go. Nintendo innovate cuz they are the only ones that took a risk at something new out of the blue that has never been used in gaming systems (the Wii-Mote)

What are you looking at, nerd?
