Pretty much this, I think there aren't that many games that a year before release, you know it won't be a good game or a good game, few devs get a locked in reputation like that, without it being a statement on their body of work. ND for example, people expect good things from them now, because they haven't released a bad game in ages. Then there's Crytek, who I think have a reputation for technically powerful games, with absolutely awful story, dialogue etc... Given that, it's fair to assume TLG will be a good game, that appeals to a niche market. Though, you could also reasonably assume it'll sell more than your typical ICO fare, given the coverage this title has gotten.
