If it big just to give a sense of scope that could be cool. If they scatter random collectables around the world and expect you to wander around collecting them but have nothing interesting in those areas that would not be cool.

Like the majority of witcher 3 question marks.

The only question marks that were dumb in Witcher 3 were on Skellige.

The ones on the main land were good. They made the world feel like a world. You have rnadom monster nests, you have bandit camps, you had random strong monster, small treasure hunts, ect.

Meanwhile on Skellige you just dove to the bottom and grabbed a chest 100 times. 

But really, just turn off question marks on Witcher 3 and enjoy the game. Randomly running into those quesiton marks is better than running blindly to them and doin the 1 of a dozen vaious things.
