I too consider MGS a more arcade simple scheme design kind of game. The points of gameplay in MGS3 were quick and well, to the point. It wasn't a constant resource collecting game, but there were plenty of optional items so I'll give it that. I will admit that resource collecting (EDIT: In MGS5) has its high points. It's incredibly addicting and I end up caring more about that then I do getting a high rank.

I could not play this game without reflex mode though. It's just too easy to get spotted and it happens frequently, and I crawl and crouch a good portion of the time I'm in a base. D-dog I heard really assuages this so I can't wait until my little pup grows up. But yeah, I guess for now I shouldn't pressure myself to get all the best rankings because that will come easier when I get the best equipment anyways. I just don't have all the time in the world like I used to have.

You kind of forget about it. I never played with it on in the first place, so I'm not realliy missing anything. Yeah, it's easy to get spotted, but the penalty for getting spotted is so weak that its bearly worth mentioning since your health regenerates.

I just want to be clear, it isn't thhe resource collecting I have issue with. That's not what I have issues with. But I'm on like Episode 8 and literally nothing has progressed yet. It's just so low, and this is hours in.

I'm weary of using the dog because I like the horse so much. I don't want to give up the convenience of the transportation, but I hear the wolf is super useful. I need to buy a silencer for my Sniper Rifle, if they even allow that. After all that, I'll be good.
