Why USA never jumped the soccer bandwagon? They're like and island, I never heard of a worldwide competition of any of those sports. |
Late to the show, but Basketball was an olympic sport waaaaaayyy before soccer. And there has been a basketball world cup for a few decades now. So basketball is a global sport.
What I don't understand is why the USA isn't more into Rugby, a superior sport to American Football in all respects. Though I am also glad they're not more into Rugby because they would totally dominate. People should actually be glad the USA isn't as soccer mad as South America and Europe, because the USA would win almost every world cup. Just look at how well they do in the World Cup with its status as a B-list pro-sport there.
