Why does Sony refuse to support the PS Vita anymore. If they did could it make a comeback?

I just wish that Sony who seems to just wanna be done with the Vita would quite releasing more and more patches/updates try farther block hacking/homebrew! The Vita when fully hacked is gonna make one heck of an emulator machine just like the PSP!
