Here it is straight and simple:
Casual games will be more common on the Wii due to the demographic.
The Wii will get more and more core games as time goes on and in fact should equal the amount on The PS2 or a little less due to a later start in the console race by 3rd parties.
4 of the top 5 selling console games in the PS1 era were on the N64 but more software was sold for the PS1.
The top rated games were on the N64 but the PS1 had more highly ranked games and the most shovelware.
More games are being delayed this gen longer than ever. FF XIII KZ 2 MGS IV and so on this is in part to the slower HD sales and also the increased development costs and overall complexities of high def graphics however the PS3 and 360 should see higher quality games because of this.
