Why does Sony refuse to support the PS Vita anymore. If they did could it make a comeback?

Putting all of this together, it's no wonder the Vita fizzled out and Sony just decided to focus on the thing that's actually selling.

This is the main thing that bothers me. I don't own a Vita, but in a way I feel for Vita owners.

The Wii U isn't selling well either but you don't see Nintendo trying to hope people forget about it and just focus on the 3DS, they are still supporting it.

Seems like Sony just wants to sweep the Vita under the rug and hope people forget about it so they can just focus on PS4. 

Like I said, I understand the Vita isn't selling well being a reason Sony doesn't want to support it anymore, but they aren't even trying to bring up the sales for it anymore.
