They did at least bring MLB, Helldivers and RE Rev 2 to the Vita this year. They have not completely abandoned it.

The Vita probably had the most support at launch that Sony has ever given any of their devices.
Many factors in their control and out of their control have led to the Vita being in the position it is now.

The reason you are not seeing Sony put games on the Vita like you suggest is because it makes little financial sense for them to gamble on the Vita when they have another device that is most guaranteed to get them money, the PS4.

The vita has not been doing well in the West for a very long time, what point does it make for their Western studios to put effort into it?
SCEJ has been undergoing a massive reshuffle these last few years. Even their major games are just co-developed by them while they aid an outside dev team.

People need to get over the Vita now. Sony support is not going to change it's fate from here on out. Sony has more important things to deal with while they rebuild and strengthen their brand with the PS4 and possibly even VR. This is what is going to help Sony in the long run: they are just not built for console/ handheld development simultaneously. This was apparent many years ago during the PSP years.

so enjoy your Vita, and enjoy the copious amount of games it gets. The amount of games it has, and will be receiving is incredible. So just enjoy it.


@Bolded: None of these are exclusive or made in mind for the Vita. They are only getting ports to the Vita because there are already console versions. 

Like I said, Japanese developers still are supporting the Vita with actual EXCLUSIVE games for it and that is why it is doing semi-well over there compared to everywhere else.

Sony might not have completely "abandoned" it yet considering they are bringing a new color to NA and all, but they certainly aren't supporting it anymore for the time being.
