All I can say is--for a couple of days, the PlayStation Vita suddenly had full BC for all of the PSPs digital games. People were jazzed until they found out it was an accident and the games suddenly disappeared.

It was a big deal, then. For me it always was and always will be. As long as a console is BC with games people actually want to play.

LOL really? Did it actually work? If so, how could they just shut it off? Sounds like an awesome feature?

Apparently Vita is fully backwards compatible with PSP and PS1 classics.  The only problem was (I assume) the rights to certain games.  I actually purchased about ten games on PSP physical UMD discs but I decided digital was the way to go.  Repurchased most of them as digital games. I bought probably 50 PSP games--I'm just guessing-- in digital form.  A lot of them weren't available when I made the leap to Vita.

One day, EVERYTHING was available!  People were doing backflips, taking have at 3DS, etc. I actually bought a few games and managed to redownload my whole library.  About a day later, somebody at Sony just have realized they made a mistake and took the unauthorized games away.  If we got them, we could keep then but those who missed out got burned.

I'm still happy about it!
