I personally think it is time that those of same sex orientation deserve rights, not just marriage. Keep in mind while the landmark voting of those of same sex orientation was a victory for the LGBT community, discrimination and homophobia are sadly still big problems here in America. Furthermore, employers can prevent those of said type of orientation to enter their business.


At the end of the day, the marriage license approval is a historic moment in world history (in my opinion). I just hope this opens up the floodgates to create new laws to increase quality of life among same sex orientation couples. Right now I am not sure if there is a law that can override such a decision (anyone with such information that can be of assistance would be much appreciated), but I do know that we as human beings should at least respect each other for who we are and not what we are.
