Regardless of what complaints some make Metroid OM was actually the right approach for a third person 3D Metroid but the execution was off, the way the game played was close to how I pictured a third person 3D Metroid. What they should do is take that approach and iron out the flaws as they had something to build on.

- Used a d-pad for 3d movement.

- Had no exploration.

- Had no power-ups. The authorisation thing was stupid and broke the immersion and believeability of the game.

- Had stupid pixel hunting scenes that added nothing to the game.

- Sometimes you were forced to walk slowly with the camera looking over your shoulder. Absolutely NOTHING happened during these moments.

- Samus has a voice, a terrible one at that.

- The story was a rip-off from Fusion without all the good elements.

- The sense-move broke the game as you could just spam it to avoid everything without effort.

Exactly what did it do right?
