True, but it's a likely scenerio. Another scenerio is that we live in a police state and the 3d printer is always online and has some recognition software to show police that a gun is being produced. Although I'm sure hackers would find a way to disable that or cloud the system. 3d printing could certainly kill gun control efforts.
