I think the Xbox One will drop the price to $300 this year and take a loss. They wouldn't mind taking a loss on the xbox one if they can make up for it in game sales ,xbox live subscriptions, accessories, ect. Microsoft seems to be more about the Xbox brand as a whole then making a profit with the xbox division because to them it seems xbox is just one huge advertisement and a way to make gaming more relevant on PC and of course push windows. Else they would've left the industry already. Does this sound far fetch to any of you?

A $300 price drop doesn't make sense with new $399 and $499 SJYs,

I belive that Microsoft is much more confident in Halo as a system seller than you are.  I think we could see some $299 Black Friday bundles, but remember they had sub $300 SKU deals last year as well.

Therefore, I belive that Microsoft will ride the Halo wave with the price intact allowing them to make as much as possible and then have incentives for Black Friday.
