A good reboot would be welcome... a bad reboot wouldn't. I think a visually stunning sprite based 2d game would be fantastic with elaborate detailed bosses and environments.
We don't need a talking mother brain.
Clear signs of intelligence rather than a two legged monster would be welcome and could be done though the story and the cat and mouse game between the space pirates and Samus.
